At the request of the South Carolina Emergency Management Division in Columbia, South Carolina, WGOG wants to alert our listeners:

FROM THE SOUTH CAROLINA EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DIVISION. A STATE OF
EMERGENCY IS IN EFFECT. THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WARNS OF
BLACK ICE ON ROADWAYS OVERNIGHT AND INTO FRIDAY MORNING. BLACK ICE
CAN BE EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS FOR MOTORISTS. ADDITIONAL DANGER EXITS
ON SOME HIGHWAYS BECAUSE OF FALLEN TREES…DOWNED POWER LINES AND
DEBRIS. THE SOUTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND SOUTH
CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION URGE MOTORISTS TO LIMIT
TRAVEL ON SECONDARY ROADS AND TO USE EXTREME CAUTION. IN THE EVENT
OF AN EMERGENCY CALL *HP OR 911. FOR THE STATUS OF GOVERNMENT
