Emergency training drill tomorrow near Seneca

March 8, 2013

Here’s a what-if scenario for which personnel from Oconee Emergency Services will train tomorrow morning near Seneca. The make-believe scenario will be an industrial chemical release, and emergency workers will respond to the corner of Shiloh Road and Goddard Avenue. Between 7 a-m and the noon hour, those in that area should expect to see emergency vehicles and personnel. Charlie King, Oconee Fire Chief, says, “Residents in this area may receive a text call from the Oconee 911 Center. This test call simulate the effectiveness of our Reverse 911 system to alert communities in time of need.”
