Enhancing Walhalla tourist stop

Walhalla leaders say they are pleased with the numbers of visitors they are seeing at Stumphouse Tunnel Park north of the city, although only about one-third of those visitors to the historic attraction are filling the envelopes with park admission fees. Councilman David Underwood announced last night that Walhalla is considering an RV pad from which the city eventually could add an attendant’s quarters, and Mayor Danny Edwards predicts the city will have no trouble engaging volunteers to serve as park attendants in both the summer and off-season months.
