Ervin says he has qualified for ballot

Many South Carolina politicians are heavily focused on this month’s primary election.  Not Tom Ervin.  The Greenville lawyer and Anderson radio station owner points to this fall’s General Election.  The Independent Republican candidate’s campaign for Governor announced today that has assured himself a spot on the November ballot by submitting 20, 137 petition signatures of registered voters.  Those petition signatures were delivered to the South Carolina State Election Commission and, according to an announcement from the Ervin campaign, they are in excess of the 10 thousand valid signatures required.  Ervin says he has signatures from every county in the state.
