Expression of confidence in Covington and Crenshaw

Seneca’s top elected leader expressed confidence today that if local law enforcement leaders detected an instance of racial profiling, they would take immediate steps to stop it and help ensure the practice is never repeated. During a public policy chat at the Oconee Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Dan Alexander said he has confidence in both his city’s police chief, John Covington, and in County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw to do the right thing. Alexander said he’s a believer in the value of training to help a law enforcement officer carry out his duties in the right way and would not hesitate to give the Seneca Police Department what it needed.
