“Extremely low” Clemson water

Clemson water reserves are extremely low and the boil water notice remains in effect. By 2:30 yesterday afternoon, the Anderson Regional Joint Water System was pumping water to Clemson—but the reserves for all of the water service providers were severely depleted during the emergency. A limited supply provided by adjoining Central has allowed Clemson to maintain adequate emergency water. Until further notice, customers should still conserve. A return to normal will be posted, as soon as officials feel an adequate level of storage has returned to the tanks. It is anticipated that the boil water notice will continue past 1 o’clock this afternoon—when samples are to be completed and tested.
