Fair three weeks away, organizers excited

This year’s SC Foothills Heritage Fair is fewer than three weeks away, but organizers are sensing the excitement.  The dates for this year’s fair are Monday through Saturday, October 3-8, off highway 123 between Seneca and Westminster.  The week long event starts with a farmers’ appreciation dinner Monday night, October 3, sponsored by the Farm Bureau.  All area farmers are invited for a free meal, fellowship, and the guest speakers. Fair goers this year can look forward to a canning competition, pound cake bake-off, and a knockerball tournament.  In knockerball, or “bubble soccer,” players run around inside a giant inflated sphere.  Each day there will be livestock shows and exhibits.  Clogging on Thursday and Friday nights.  On Saturday, championship bull riding and barrel racing take place
