Farmers Market Month

Once again, Governor Haley has proclaimed August as Farmers Market Month in South Carolina. And a new program that the Foothills Heritage Market of Oconee County starts Saturday will allow shopping as early as 7:30 a-m. That, according to Gwen McPhail, one of the managers, will allow consumers to take advantage of weekly discounts. The first-year market counts more than 30 vendors and says that number is growing.
