Fees Increase for Clemson Students

Tuition, housing and meal plans at Clemson University are on the increase. Those fees are set to be increased by an average of 3 percent this fall. Officials with the University say the increase will partially offset mandatory payroll and retirement and health insurance cost increases. In-state students will see general tuition increase by about $171 per semester and an additional $25 per semester for facility maintenance and renovations. The total increase for in state students comes to about 3 percent. Out of state students will see an increase of $432 per semester for tuition and $55 for facilities, a total increase of about 3.19 percent.  Student housing and meal plans will increase by an average of 2.3 percent. Actual costs vary depending on housing assignments and dining plan selection. On average, the fee increase will add $47 per semester for housing and $50 per semester for dining plans.
