Felony DUI charges against driver

Drew Green A 52-year old Oconeean has been arrested and jailed as the result of Saturday night’s car accident near Seneca that killed two people and sent four others to hospitals. This morning’s report from the Oconee Detention Center lists charges of felony driving under the influence  against Drew Woodall Greene of Little Choestoea Road, Westminster. The South Carolina Highway Patrol identified Greene, the driver of a 2012 Chevrolet, as having been airlifted to a Greenville hospital following the five-vehicle accident at 123 and Wells Highway/Sheep Farm Road. The jail booking report shows Greene to have been placed in the Oconee Jail shortly after 2:30 yesterday afternoon. Coroner Karl Addis has identified the deceased as two occupants of a Mazda sedan: 28-year old Michele Wright Silvers of Iva, the Mazda driver, and her husband 29-year old Joshua Adam Silvers, a passenger. Post-mortem exams take place this morning. According to Addis, it appears the Mazda was traveling Sheep Farm Road and was broad-sided by a pickup truck eastbound on 123/the Sandifer Boulevard. Other vehicles then became involved. Troopers identified other drivers and passengers as 52-year old Terry Hurdt of Walhalla, 18-year old Ashley Keese of Westminster, 18-year old Destiny Compton of Westminster, and Compton’s passenger Hailey Lone of Seneca.
