Filling potholes—year round job!

March 14, 2013

A DOT official says the job of patching Oconee County roads is a year-round job. When it’s dry, according to DOT resident maintenance engineer Mike Smith, Oconee’s patching truck often applies several tons of solvent, to try to keep the roads and highways smooth to the motoring public. But it can be frustrating, as Smith says, “Believe me, we have no shortage of potholes in the county.”
