Fire damages Oconee tractor

Fire caused heavy damage today to an Oconee County tractor, valued at $65 thousand dollars. The fire broke out at the county landfill near Seneca. No one was hurt but, according to Oconee Fire Chief Charlie King, the fire apparently was caused by a hose failure that sent combustible hydraulic fluid into the engine compartment. King says it appears the tractor is a total loss.
