Fire damages Westminster home

December 2, 2013

Fire late Saturday afternoon damaged a home in Westminster. The fire department was notified of the fire at 101 James Street—shortly after 5 o’clock. No one reported injured. Fire Lt. David Shultis says an investigation is underway as to the cause of fire. Jackie Owens at the time was pumping gas at a nearby convenience store, saw what was happening, and ran across the street to render what help he could. Owens is now collecting clothes and furniture to donate to the fire victims. And he may be reached at 482-1051.
