Before the Oconee School District makes any change to its policy of no prayer at the start of board meetings, school leaders are going to discuss the matter with their ecumenical council. The meeting is planned next week. Invocation at school board meetings was an agenda item for last night’s work session of the board, but there was discussion only. Chairman Andy Inabinet held out little hope for the return of prayer to start meetings. During last night’s public comment period, Seneca resident Kevin Larkin urged the board to adopt a policy of a moment of silence.
