First community meeting held, more to follow

The first in the series of Oconee County community meetings for the public to sound off on the county’s comprehensive plan took place last night in Fair Play and went well, according to one of the county employees who helped stage the meeting.  County planner Matthew Anspach said there was sufficient interest among Fair Play residents last night for the county to hold a second meeting there.  Anspach was joined by his boss, Josh Stephens, at 101.7/WGOG for a discussion of why the comprehensive plan requires changes and the part the public will have in that.  Anspach and Stephens can be heard in detail on this during this Sunday’s ‘Community Sound Off.”  The program airs during the noon hour Sunday.
