First of its kind zoning case

July 15, 2013

A first of its kind zoning case makes it way tomorrow night to the Oconee County Council. The council is being asked to re-zone part of a parcel from residential district to traditional rural district. The entire parcel contains 7.5 acres and is located near Melton Road in the West Union area. It’s the first case in which split-zoning has occurred in Oconee County. Previously, part of the property was zoned residential district and the rest traditional district.
