Fish Smart, Eat Smart

May 10, 2013

South Carolinians can learn more about the safety of eating fish caught in lakes and rivers by checking the updated fish consumption guide. DHEC’s Fish Smart, East Smart guide can help determine if the fish you’ve hooked is safe to eat —- or should be released because of possible contamination. The annual report includes an interactive statewide map with the latest advisories, information and other materials that can be downloaded. Find the Fish Smart, East Smart guide at www.schdhec.gov/fish.
