Five hurt in two-related Seneca wrecks

The police in Seneca say the injuries to five people who went for hospital treatment a multiple-vehicle accident yesterday are all non-life threatening. Lt. Robert Tribble said two of the injured went to Oconee Medical Center by ambulance and three others went on their own for treatment. What happened shortly before 10 yesterday morning just east of the Bypass N. Hampton Bridge involved two separate accidents, though both were related. They involved three cars and a truck. The wreckage required the By-Pass to be reduced to one lane of traffic each direction and, for a time, stopped traffic altogether. According to Tribble, two of the drivers in the accident were issued citations charging too fast for conditions.
