Five week until school starts

July 16, 2013

The calendar reads early summer, and many Oconeeans still have not completed their beach vacations. But Dr. Mike Lucas, county superintendent of education, reminded the board of trustees last night that teachers report in four weeks and the first day of classes will be in five weeks. While the public schools remain virtually shut during the summer months, the district administration continues to work. Lucas told the trustees to expect the results of three measuring tests to be announced August 1.
