Food and shelter funds available thru United Way

Oconee County has been chosen to receive $29,264 in federal funds under the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program Phase 31 of FEMA—the Federal Emergency and Management Agency. The local board of directors for the emergency food and shelter program will meet to determine how the funds awarded to Oconee are to be distributed among emergency food and shelter programs run by local service organizations in the area. Only non-profit agencies may apply, no individuals. Any agency interested in applying or would like further information should contact Kimberly Ellis at the United Way in Seneca no later than noon Friday, November 1.
