Food drive benefits Walhalla pantry

Students at Keowee Elementary School collected non-perishable food items for the benefit of the food pantry operated by Walhalla’s St. Luke Methodist Church. Over one month’s time, Keowee’s Service Learning Club collected more than 15-hundred items for a pantry that helps meet the monthly needs of about 250 Walhalla families. The Service Learning Club met in October with St. Luke’s Terry Havice and learned of the need to help families in Walhalla.
