For Wahalla, it was a very good year–moneywise

So much federal money passed thru Walhalla City Hall that it bolstered the bottom line for 2014-15.  Outside auditor Jason White says the audit reflects federal monies used by Walhalla to pay for Streetscape and the rehabilitation of utility lines in the former Chicopee Mill community.  White gave the mayor and the city council last night a modified opinion of the city’s finances—an opinion, he said, is nearly the best possible.  In 2014-15, Walhalla’s utility department transferred to general government the amount of $300 thousand, which White said was smaller than the previous year.
