Forest Service worker killed in NC

The U-S Forest Service is mourning the death of a 38-year old officer killed yesterday in the Grandfather Ranger District of the Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina. Jason Crisp is survived by his wife and two children. Crisp and his K-9 partner were killed in the line of duty in Burke County—the details of which are still under investigation today. “This is a tragic loss for our Forest Service family,” said Special Agent in Charge Steve Ruppert. “Our thoughts are with Jason’s wife and their two sons. Words cannot express our sadness.”
