Forgery charges land woman in jail

February 12, 2013

Multiple charges of forgery and common law criminal conspiracy have landed a 33-year old Anderson woman in the Oconee County Detention Center. Law enforcement reports identify the woman arrested as Nona Vanessa Rigdon. Oconee Sheriff’s officers turned their attention to Rigdon after receiving reports of a woman cashing bank checks drawn on a restaurant chain’s account at convenience stores near Seneca and Walhalla. When the convenience stores checked with the bank, they were told no such account existed.
