Forty-four Afghan troops go missing while training in U-S

Congressman Jeff Duncan says 44 missing Afghan troops in the U-S are proof to him that the U-S is unable to protect the homeland.  The Republican reacted to a news service report that the Afghans, while they were receiving military training, went missing in the U-S in fewer than two years. Duncan’s statement reads:  “In an era where radical Islamic terrorism has killed thousands across the world, this is the latest incident of a government wholly unprepared to protect the homeland. This is yet another example of why I don’t trust the US government to properly vet Syrian refugees. It is difficult, if not impossible for government officials to cross check Syrian refugee information like passports and other foreign government records with our own databases. What does that say about their vetting capabilities when Afghan soldiers go AWOL on US soil after receiving some of the toughest screening imaginable? Americans are entirely justified to reject the Syrian refugee program. I will continue to stand with the public to deport terrorists out of this country with my bill the Terrorist Deportation Act, as well as to prevent potential terrorists trying to infiltrate our borders posing as Syrian refugees.”
