Fraud case, so far, leads to one arrest

Two Georgia residents have been implicated in fraudulent financial transaction crimes last summer in Oconee County.  One of the two persons was arrested Wednesday in Spartanburg, and the Oconee Sheriff’s Office has issued an alert for the second.  Auburn, Georgia resident Alexander Kenneth Abbott is accused of criminally receiving goods after a complaint that fraudulent charges were made August 5 on a bank account at stores in Oconee County.  The amount of the alleged fraud was $470.30.  The Sheriff’s Office also announced arrest warrants charging Lawrenceville, Georgia resident Sabrina Nanzeen Maya with criminally receiving goods by using bank accounts to make fraudulent transactions of $103.45 at a Seneca Bi-Lo.  Maya may be in a dark 2010 BMW 750 i with a Georgia tag of PLV 4717.  If you have information on her whereabouts, your tip could lead to a cash reward from Oconee Crime Stoppers.
