Fraud charges land woman in jail

Bank fraud charges have landed a Georgia woman in the Oconee Jail. The Seneca police made a trip to a North Carolina jail to serve warrants charging Lavonia resident Dea Mills Ford with bank fraud and forgery. The warrants were issued by Municipal Judge Danny Singleton upon the police department’s investigation of a woman’s attempt to cash a check at TD Bank with insufficient funds drawn on Sun Trust Bank.
