“Fully committed to campus in Oconee County”

The commissioners who set the policy for Tri-County Technical College are meeting Monday at the main Pendleton campus, but there apparently will be no discussion of building an Oconee County campus. It’s not an agenda item. Rebecca Eidson, college spokeswoman, said, “While our target date for announcing a plan was the end of 2014, we are continuing to work with industry, economic development, and education leaders to assess the workforce training needs in Oconee County, the type of facility and equipment needed to offer the programs that will meet those needs, etc. We feel very positive about the future of this project and are grateful for the many partners we have in Oconee County who are committed to helping us develop a plan that will serve the community now and into the future.”
