Furman Basketball Battles Limestone In Saturday Exhibition

The Furman men’s basketball team continues its preparations for the 2012-13 campaign when it hosts the NCAA Division II Limestone Saints in an exhibition game on Saturday at Timmons Arena. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m.  The Paladins, under the direction of seventh-year head coach Jeff Jackson, are looking to improve on a 15-16 overall record and 8-10 league mark from a year ago. They return five players with at least 10 starts under their belts, including junior Charlie Reddick who averaged 10.4 points and 4.9 rebounds per game last season. Jackson also welcomes back sixth-year senior Bobby Austin (7.5 ppg, 37.5% 3FG%), 6-foot-7 senior Bryant Irwin (7.7 ppg, 2.8 rpg) and 6-foot-9 senior Colin Reddick (4.3 ppg, 3.2 rpg).
