Gamecocks fall in Tournament; Clemson opens play tonight

Twelve-seed South Carolina (14-18, 4-14 SEC) fell to 13-seed Mississippi State (10-21, 4-14 SEC) 70-59 on Wednesday night in the SEC Tournament at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. Junior guard Bruce Ellington led South Carolina with 13 points.

Clemson will open play in the ACC tournament at the Greensboro Coliseum Thursday night by taking on Florida State in a 9:00 PM tip-off.
