GCCP and its effect on Fair Play

September 19, 2012

Oconee County Council got a look last night at drawings for what both Fair Play and the nearby Golden Corner Commerce Park could become if the highway 59 industrial park property develops. Chris Watson of the company Seamon/Whiteside made a presentation on development ideas at the park, as well as changes to consider for the Fair Play community. Watson put emphasis on greenery both in the park and in the heart of Fair Play as a village setting. Watson got immediate feedback from District Two Councilman Wayne McCall who questioned whether the kinds of large-sized trucks development will require will be able to adequately get in and make turns.
