Georgia business fire fills area sky with smoke

A fire chief in Stephens County, Georgia said as many as 300 junk cars caught fire yesterday on the premises of Carter’s Royal Dispos-All near Rock Creek Road. It was a fire that spread to a building, a shed and countless car parts. No one reported hurt. Toccoa’s WNEG reports the smoke could be seen above Lake Hartwell and filtering into parts of Oconee County. Though accidental in nature, the fire is being investigated as non-suspicious. Its cause, however, so far is unknown.
