German official impressed by OC industry park

No German company interested in expanding to North America may do that without having gone thru the German-American Chamber Ambassador in Atlanta. That individual, according to Richard Blackwell of the Oconee Economic Development Office, makes regular trips between Atlanta and Greenville. And recently Blackwell’s office managed to entice the site consultant to visit Oconee County. Blackwell and EDC project manager Russell Johnson described the German-American official as “blown away” by the work Oconee County is completing on the first pad-ready phase for its Industry and Technology Park, formerly Echo Hills, on highway 11.
