Getting back to normal, sort of

Oconee County public schools are closed for a second full day. Dr. Mike Lucas, superintendent, says, “Because of conditions in the more rural areas/elevations of the district, schools will remain closed on Thursday, January 30 in Oconee County.” Oconee County offices and services, including the convenience centers, will open at 10:30 this morning. That’s the same schedule for Seneca. The City Hall opens at 10:30. State offices in Oconee follow the county’s schedule. City of Clemson announces that garbage pickup will resume as soon as the safety of the road conditions improve. Clemson customers are asked to leave roll carts and recycle bins curbside until they are serviced.
