Good citizen award for seven Seneca students

Seven students at Seneca High School have been nominated by the faculty for this year’s Good Citizen Award from the Daughters of the American Revolution. The students were nominated on four qualities: dependability, service, leadership and patriotism. Nominated were Melissa Bergey, Celeste Wearing, Brett Sherley, Zach Darst, Trey Scheiper, Josiah Thorsland, and Bailee Hawkins. They wrote an essay that will be judged by a committee from the Wizard of Tamassee Chapter of National Society DAR in Seneca. The chapter founded in 1916 is named “Wizard of Tamassee” for the famous General Andrew Pickens.
