Gowdy to address Clemson graduates

A prosecutor-turned congressman will keynote ClemsonUniversity’s summer time graduates in a ceremony that takes place next week in Greenville.  The graduation speaker will be Trey Gowdy, the Greenville-Spartanburg congressman, of late has been known for his dogged approach as chairman of the House Select Committee on the events surrounding the 2012 terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya.  Gowdy’s son graduated from Clemson last year. Clemson has made arrangements to hold the graduation ceremony at 11 o’clock Friday, morning, August 7 in the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, while renovations are underway at Littlejohn Coliseum.  At Clemson’s first graduation ceremony in Greenville, 850 students are to be awarded degrees and diplomas.
