Grace Moxley wins Dorothy Friend Scholarship

A Walhalla senior with plans to enroll at the College of Charleston has won this year’s scholarship named for one of the co-founders of WGOG Radio. Josh Young, Walhalla High principal, has announced Grace Moxley as the recipient of the 2013 Dorothy Friend Scholarship. Friend was a graduate of the Journalism School at the University of Missouri, and the scholarship award to Grace is worth at least $6 thousand. Young says Grace is highly-deserving, for she is “right at the top of her class” academically, an athlete, and participant in student organizations.
