Graham to oppose budget deal

The House passed a budget deal, but Senator Lindsey Graham says when the agreement arrives in his chamber, he’s going to vote no. In a statement from Washington, the Oconee Republican said, “I believe it will do disproportionate harm to our military retirees.” The Senate Armed Services committee member gave these examples of how the agreement would impact military retiree benefits: A 42-year old who retires as an enlisted E-7 could lose a minimum of $72 thousand. A 42-year old Lt. Colonel could lose a minimum of $109 thousand.
