Grant money coming Westminster way

Westminster has been selected for grant money to pay for one of 20 water projects in 16 counties across the state. Approval was announced today of $242,766 for a water line upgrade. The grant money is awarded by the South Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority. Funds for approved projects will help to address old and severely deteriorated utility lines, expand the infrastructure capacity for sewer treatment plants and water tanks, and provide the necessary upgrades and improvements to ensure that public health and environmental quality standards are met.
