Greenery and the like for two Main Street medians

At their next meeting, Walhalla City Council will be asked to vote on whether to accept an offer by the principals of their Streetscape general contractor.  Patti and Danny Hutchinson have offered to plant a groundcover of flowers and small trees, perhaps crepe myrtles, for the Main Street medians between the blocks of Spring and College streets.  The offer was considered as a recommendation at last night’s City Hall meeting and, according to City Administrator Nancy Goehle, requires the approval of the South Carolina DOT.
