Greenville man identified as suspect in Oconee school crime

The Oconee Sheriff’s Office has identified the suspect in an incident last week of disturbing school.  An arrest warrant alleges Quorius Bekiyus Nicholson of Greenville “did willfully and unnecessarily disturb the students and teacher of Ravenel Elementary School by attempting to evade and elude the South Carolina Highway Patrol in the vicinity of the School, causing a lockdown and interruption of normal school activities.”  The incident occurred Thursday, November 5.  The Sheriff’s Office believes Nicholson drove a gray Dodge Neon down the school driveway, locked down the car, got out and ran.  A spokesman for the patrol said troopers tried to stop the Dodge Neon for speeding.
