Ground broken for Vet Tech facility

Tri-County Tech broke ground last week on a new $1.5 million veterinary technology expanded housing and learning facility. Officials say the new building will help the college reach a goal of being the best Veterinary Technology facility in the country. Dr. Ronnie Booth, Tech president, said construction will start immediately with the kennels to be completed during fall semester this year and a renovated Halbert Hall to be finished by fall 2016. Phase 1 will allow for a 5,500-square foot structure to replace the aging kennel next Halbert Hall.
