Haley and Graham commend the State Senate

Governor Haley and Senator Graham have issued statements commending the South Carolina Senate for its 37 to 3 vote to remove the Confederate battle flag from the State House grounds.  Graham said, “The next step is for the South Carolina House of Representatives to act, and I believe they will act in a similarly responsible manner.”  Yesterday a Republican hopeful for President, Mike Huckabee of Arkansas, said in Seneca it’s not his place as an outsider to tell or recommend how South Carolina should handle the flag issue.  Speaking to 96.3/WGOG NEWS, Huckabee expressed confidence that the governor and the legislature would handle it in the right way.
