Haley calls it a significant drop

Governor Nikki Haley calls the statewide un-employment decrease significant—a drop from 7.9% in September to 7.5% in October. State officials say this is the lowest rate in South Carolina since 2008 and the closest to the national since 2002. Oconee County’s jobless rolls also show a corresponding decrease. Oconee’s 7.5% matches the state for October. The Oconee percentage dropped from 7.9% in September and from 8.7% for September a year ago.
