The victim of a hammer attack in Oconee County is in the hospital. A second man has been arrested in what the sheriff’s department described as a dispute over the use of a driveway at a home near Halfway Branch. Sheriff’s officers took a statement from a 59-year old man who claimed he was attacked Tuesday night while he drove a moped on the driveway at 150 Moser Lane. Law enforcement records show the arrest of Levis Edward Smith, 45, of Hembree Hill Drive, Walhalla, on the charge of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.
