Heli-basket, Inc., coming to West Union

A company which will design and engineer helicopter parts and ground support equipment is coming to West Union. And today was the day that the principals—V-J Wigington and John Tollenaere—acquired a 6,000 square foot building for Heli-basket Inc. The two shared their plans for their 6 to 8-employee operation on highway 11 across from Itron. “We design, engineer external load equipment for helicopters and ground support equipment. And then we go out to the subcontractors and we have these things made, and we bring them into the building for assembly and final quality control inspections…, said Tollenaere. They’ll be setting up shop in a new metal building on which the Dan Rankin Company is applying the final touches before occupancy. Rankin’s counterpart in the real estate development world, John Powell, was also involved in the deal finalized today at the law office of Derrick, Williams, Ritter, Morris in Seneca.
