Here’s a clarification!

Not so fast on that legal opinion from the state on a tax dispute between the Oconee Treasurer and the county School District. By email yesterday, spokesman Mark Powell of the South Carolina Attorney’s General Office estimated the opinion would be ready in two to three weeks. Powell called 96.3/WGOG NEWS this afternoon to say he should have said to check with him in two to three weeks. We are happy to make the clarification. “They (opinions) are not taken very lightly. They are researched very thoroughly, very meticulously….There is no estimate on how long it takes to produce any one,” Powell told 96.3/WGOG NEWS this afternoon.
