Mangle leads Palmetto past Walhalla; Seneca loses wild game to Emerald

Janike Mangle accounted for 266 of Palmetto’s 332 yards of total offense Friday night to lead the Mustangs past Walhalla 21-14 at Razorback Stadium.  Mangle earned our Player of the Game honors after rushing 16 times for 155 yards and two touchdowns, while putting the ball in the air 3 times for 111 yards.  For Walhalla, Israel Williamson returned from injury to lead the Razors with 114 yards rushing and 111 passing.  Walhalla falls to 2-5 and 0-3 in Western AAA play, while the Palmetto win marks the first conference victory for Jody Lecroy’s Mustangs.  Elsewhere, a wild offensive shoot-out in Seneca finally ended with Emerald completing a sweep of the Oconee County schools with a 62-59 win over the Bobcats.  In Westminster, the Warriors fall to 0-7 with a 56-0 loss at home to Wren.  In one of the biggest games in the state on Friday, #3 Daniel takes over the Western AAA drivers-seat with a 29-3 win over #4 Belton-Honea Path.
