High School Football Friday Night
In 96.3 WGOG’s high school football broadcast on Friday night Palmetto defeated West-Oak 41-14 in Williamston. Our American Pest Control Player of the Game was Palmetto’s Alan Williams, who carried the ball 16 times for 134 yards and 2 touchdowns. It was part of 424 yards of total offense for Jody LeCroy’s team. For West-Oak, the star was Landon Owens who was responsible for both Warrior scores. Owens also caught a 56 yard reception from quarterback Joe Hart, the Warrior’s only pass completion of the night. Dustin Wilkes had a solid outing for West-Oak with 133 yards on 23 carries. Next week, the Warriors return home to face Seneca, a team they haven’t beaten since the 1988 season. That will be our broadcast next week. On Friday, Seneca fell hard to Belton-Honea Path 64-28. Walhalla was shut-out at Wren 44-0.
