Hinton hearing in day two

A young man convicted in Oconee County four years ago and sent to prison for homicide by child abuse returned to the county today in prison garb. And this time, Matthew Hinton has a new lawyer. That lawyer, Robbie Childs, is arguing in a third-floor courtroom that Hinton deserves post-conviction relief. At the age of 24 in March 2011, Hinton was convicted of homicide by child abuse in the death of his five-month old daughter, Brianna Bright. Brianna died from head trauma, according to the office of 10th Circuit Solicitor Chrissy Adams.
